COURSE DESCRIPTION

ANTH&100 — Survey of Anthropology  (5 cr)

An introductory survey course of anthropology that examines the biology and cultures of humans through scientific and humanistic perspectives. This course explores anthropology as a four-field discipline, encompassing biological anthropology (primates, human biological diversity, paleoanthropology), archaeology (ancient cultures), cultural anthropology (contemporary cultures and cultural diversity), and linguistic anthropology (language and communication).
